Professional Flying School

Bandung Pilot Academy (BPA) was legally established as an educational institution on October 2, 2008, but it began commercial operations and opened its first class of students in 2011. BPA was established in the city of Bandung in response to the crisis of aircrew shortages and the high demand for professional pilots both nationally and internationally at that time. Since its inception, the academy has attracted immense interest. For its first cohort in June 2011, there were approximately 190 applicants vying for a limited number of spots only 20 seats available per intake. Over the course of its years in operation, Bandung Pilot Academy (BPA) has graduated hundreds of highly skilled pilots who are now employed by various domestic and international airlines. The presence of this academy reaffirms the city of Bandung’s status as a significant historical hub for aviation in Indonesia.
